The winter athletic season is ramping up.  Check out all of the schedules here and come support our WO student athletes.  The talented WOHS musicians are in action year round.  The music calendar on the West Ottawa Music Boosters site has all of the information you need about upcoming performances.

Congratulations to all of the WOHS journalism and art students who were recently recognized by with a Scholastic Art & Writing Award.  WOHS student, Claire Dorn, earned a Gold Key and for this article.

Lastly, thank you everyone for your support with our new attendance policy this school year.  The data for first semester shows that we have made great strides in improving student attendance.  For example, in Semester 1 there were approximately 3,000 less tardies in 2019 versus 2018.  The data for absences is just as encouraging with 2,500 less absences this year.  We are always striving for improvement as we prepare students to be college, career and life ready!

Thank you, and as always Go WO!

Mr. Reinecke
