November Update From the Principal

Happy November!

The 2019-20 school year is moving quickly.  Last Friday, marked the end of our first nine weeks.  Look for Progress Report grades to be entered in Infinite Campus by the end of this week.  This a great opportunity to talk with your student about their academics and goals.

The last two weeks have been eventful at WOHS with Anti-Bullying Week and College Application Week.  Our Anti-Bullying week included three seminar periods filled with lessons and activities designed by our own teachers and students.  The feedback from the week has been extremely positive once again.  There were certainly difficult and emotional topics, but our students appreciate the opportunity to engage in these authentic experiences.

College Application Week was a blast.  Events included spirit days, fight song challenge, on-site admissions, application seminars and more!  WOHS believes that all students be college, career and life ready.  College Application Week allows for students to further their post secondary exploration whether it be college/university, military, trade school, etc.

Each year West Ottawa High School recognizes our country’s Veterans by holding a Veterans Day assembly.  This year the event will be held on November 11, 2019.  We will continue our tradition of honoring all Veterans in attendance, along with many other tributes to those who have served in the military.  Please share the below information with any Veteran and invite them to our assembly.

Addams Family

The WOHS Theater Department presents the fall musical Addams Family on November 8, 9, 10, 15 and 16.  Please visit the Theater Ticketing site to purchase tickets.

Thank you and Go WO!!

Mr. Reinecke
